Locked Gate, Pathetic Security Caused Rapperholic Stampede – Moula Asare

Entertainment pundit Moula Asare has criticised the security arrangements at Sarkodie’s Rapperholic concert in Kumasi, calling them one of the event’s major flaws.

Asare said locking the main entrance and restricting access caused a large crowd to gather outside, eventually creating a dangerous situation.

“One of the major flaws at Rapperholic was the security. It was pathetic,” he said on Angel FM, Kumasi,

According to Asare, security personnel locked the main entrance and directed that only cars be allowed through. He said the decision resulted in a growing crowd outside the gate, which later contributed to a stampede.

He recounted witnessing several incidents during the chaos, including a woman who nearly fell but was helped by a man driving a Range Rover.

“A lady almost fell down, but it was a gentleman with a Range Rover that saved her. Others had all their wigs removed,” he said.

Asare also questioned the decision by the police officer in incharge to lock the entrance, since he knew what his actions could cause.

“There were fire service personnel there, but the one who locked the padlock was a police officer; he should know better,” he added.
