OTJ Announces Debut Single “M'akoma Battery” Featuring Kofi Feelingss and Kweku Bany

Celebrated broadcaster and creative force OTJ is officially stepping into the music spotlight with his debut single titled “M'akoma Battery.”

The renowned Ghanaian broadcaster, emcee, creative director and artist announced the upcoming release on his social media platforms, sparking excitement across the Western Region and beyond.

In a post that has since generated massive buzz, OTJ unveiled the title with the caption:

“M'akoma Battery!! #Otj featuring Kweku Bany x Evans Kofi Mensah Feelingss”

The track will feature two heavy hitters — Ghanaian highlife powerhouse Kofi Feelingss and talented rapper Kweku Bany. The combination is already being tipped as a perfect blend of highlife soul and rap dexterity, with OTJ’s signature vocal style at the center.

OTJ, known in private life as Frank Nyarko, is no stranger to the entertainment space. He is a celebrated drive-time radio host who has worked with many notable media houses, mostly in the Western Region of Ghana, where he has built a reputation as one of the most influential voices on radio.

While he is widely respected behind the microphone as a broadcaster and emcee, fans have also known him for his creative renditions and freestyles, where he often reinterprets popular songs with his own unique touch.

“M'akoma Battery,” which translates from Twi as “My Heart’s Battery,” marks his first original commercial release and a bold step from media personality to recording artist.

Bringing Kofi Feelingss on board adds undeniable highlife authenticity. Feelingss has cemented himself as a powerhouse vocalist in Ghana’s contemporary highlife scene, while Kweku Bany brings lyrical energy and street appeal that is expected to give the record a balanced, cross-generational sound.

Industry watchers in Takoradi say the collaboration is strategic, merging OTJ’s large radio following with two artists who have strong musical catalogues.

Since the announcement, fans and followers have flooded OTJ’s socials with congratulatory messages and anticipation. Many who have followed his journey from radio to event hosting and creative direction say the move into music feels long overdue.

A release date and official cover art for “M'akoma Battery” are yet to be announced, but OTJ has assured fans that the song is set to drop very soon.

If the early buzz is anything to go by, “M'akoma Battery” could be one of the standout debuts to come out of the Western Region this year.
