David Koomson Releases Uplifting New Single ‘This Is The Day’

Award-winning gospel minister David Koomson has officially released his brand new single ‘This Is The Day’ today, accompanied by its official music video.

The release, announced under David Koomson Ministries (D.K.M), is out today, 3rd Nov 26, and is already generating buzz among gospel lovers in Ghana and the diaspora.

The song is now live on YouTube as “This is the day (Official Music Video) - David Koomson” and is rolling out across major digital streaming platforms.

‘This Is The Day’ is an upbeat Afro-gospel celebration anchored on Psalm 118:24 — “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”

Koomson delivers the timeless scripture with a contemporary twist: vibrant African rhythms, groovy bass, bright percussion and call-and-response backing vocals that invite congregational singing. The audio is described as a joyful, worshipful anthem designed for both personal devotion and Sunday praise.

The track continues Koomson’s mission to make gospel accessible to contemporary audiences through modern production and distribution.

David Koomson is a UK-based Ghanaian gospel minister, songwriter and worship leader. The Western Region native has built a reputation within Ghana’s gospel music industry through distinctive vocal abilities and spirit-filled performances that combine worship with meaningful messaging for audiences across multiple continents.
