The Western Region prodigy teams up with versatile hitmaker Ortiz Prime on an ElormBeatz-produced anthem
The Oil City is about to shake again. Budding rapper, singer and songwriter Wallarz has announced his highly anticipated new single titled ‘Sapele’ featuring Ghanaian rap powerhouse Ortiz Prime, scheduled for release on November 14.
The song is produced by acclaimed hitmaker ElormBeatz, the producer behind ’s ‘Effiakuma Broken Heart’ and several other Western Region anthems.
Wallarz, who hails from Sekondi-Takoradi, has carved a niche for himself as one of the most promising talents to emerge from the Western Region in recent years. Known for his versatility — blending rap, Afro-fusion and street melodies — the young act continues to carry the torch of a city that has birthed some of Ghana’s finest rappers and Highlife legends.
The Western Region has always been described as a music powerhouse, home to Highlife icons like Gyedu-Blay Ambolley, A.B. Crentsil, C.K. Mann and Papa Yankson, and Wallarz is proving to be the next in line.
For ‘Sapele’, he enlists Ortiz Prime — born Richard Kwesi Boachie, a Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter currently based in Accra who raps in Twi, Fante, English and Pidgin. Ortiz Prime, who is signed to Creative Oasis Media and has previously collaborated with Wallarz on records like ‘Melon & Ginger’, brings his signature wordplay and melodic punch to the record.
While Wallarz and his team are keeping the full sound under wraps, sources close to the camp describe ‘Sapele’ as a groovy, street-inspired banger with infectious drums, catchy hooks, and that authentic Takoradi energy — the kind of song that dominates both the clubs and the streets.
ElormBeatz on the boards guarantees crisp, high-life-infused Afrobeats production, a sound that has made him a go-to producer for top Western Region acts.
With a lot of amazing hit songs already to his credit and a growing fanbase in and beyond Takoradi, ‘Sapele’ is set to be another major step in Wallarz’s steady rise.
