The National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Western Region will hold a major Communications Workshop on Friday, November 6, 2026, at the Hilcrest Hotel Conference Room. The event starts at 9:00 AM prompt.
Held under the theme, "Consolidating the Gains in 2024 for Victory 2028," the workshop is under the distinguished leadership of H.E. John Dramani Mahama, President of the Republic of Ghana, and Lawyer Sammy Gyamfi, CEO of GoldBod and National Communications Officer of the NDC.
The workshop will bring together the entire communications machinery of the party in the region — from regional executives to constituency communicators, media monitors, radio communicators and social media activists.
Several key leaders are expected to grace the occasion, including Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, Hon. Emelia Arthur, Hon. Prof. Grace Ayensu-Danquah, Hon. Dorcas Affo-Toffey, Hon. Robert Wisdom Cudjoe, Hon. Lawyer Blay Armoo, Hon. Kofi Arko Nokoe, Hon. Lawyer Fiifi Ackah, Members of Parliament, parliamentary candidates and other leading regional communicators.
According to party sources, the objective is to sharpen the messaging skills of communicators, align the regional communications strategy with the national agenda of the Mahama administration, and craft a unified narrative to protect and consolidate the gains made in the 2024 general elections.
The NDC returned to power in 2024 after a fiercely contested election in which the Western Region was a key battleground. This workshop forms part of a broader national program by the party’s Communications Bureau to train grassroots communicators, similar exercises have already been held in the Upper West and other regions.
All constituency communication officers, media monitors and party communicators in the Western Region are expected to attend.
The event is open to the media.
