Media personality Solomon Amankwah, now with Onua TV and Onua FM, has shared a personal experience of workplace betrayal during his time at Kyzz FM in Takoradi.
In a social media post that has since attracted attention, Amankwah recounted how some colleagues allegedly attempted to have him replaced while he was away on official assignment.
According to his post, while working at Kyzz FM, some individuals went behind him to inform the then Programs Manager, Mantse, that he had held meetings with a new station seeking to sign him, and therefore his position should be given to them.
He wrote that they promised to generate more revenue and were willing to share the salary he was receiving between the two of them.
Amankwah stated that the move was supported by some of the colleagues he was working with at the time, after he was selected to cover a U17 tournament.
He narrated that after the tournament, the colleagues he worked with decided not to show up for work, and the other individuals also failed to report.
This left him to handle a two-hour show alone for four days, from Monday to Thursday.
"I didn’t complain, I didn’t fight neither did I make any excuses," he wrote.
He added that he resigned on Thursday, and the individuals took over on Friday. He claimed that after one month, the station was in decline.
Amankwah concluded his post with a life lesson, urging people to maintain integrity at work.
"Always walk with a clean heart. May we all be Great," he wrote.
The post has sparked conversation online about workplace envy, loyalty and professionalism in the media industry.
