PM Sets Sights On BET Awards As He Nears 16 Years As MC/Hypeman

Media personality, talent manager, events MC and philanthropist Nana Quasi Wusu, popularly known as PM or The Finest MC, says he is just getting started despite nearing 16 years in the game.

In a post shared on social media, the award-winning host wrote:

"Sept. 2026 will mark my 16yrs as MC/Hypeman. But to me, I am just getting started. Because the dream is to host the BET Awards"

The post has since sparked reactions from colleagues and fans who have followed his journey from local events to national stages.

PM is no stranger to longevity and consistency. As the drivetime host on Y97.9FM Takoradi with over 15 years of experience as a professional MC and hypeman, he has built a reputation for charisma, energy and audience connection.

Just last year, he celebrated 15 years as a professional MC/hypeman, a career that has seen him host over 1,000 events across Ghana.

The milestone was marked under the theme “15 Years of Excellence with Purpose, Passion, and Impact” with a charity outreach at Kith’s Mental Home, The Finest MasterClass for MCs, Hypemen and Public Speakers, and The Finest Experience (II) in Takoradi.

Over the course of his career, the multiple award-winning host has earned 56 industry nominations and 8 prestigious awards, and has become a trusted name for major concerts including the 26th TGMA Xperience Concert in Takoradi, where he brought unmatched energy and vibes to the stage.

Beyond the microphone, PM is also known for his philanthropic work through the PM Foundation and his commitment to mentoring the next generation of MCs, hypemen, DJs and broadcasters.

While 16 years is a milestone many would retire on, PM says his eyes are on a bigger stage – hosting the BET Awards – a dream that reflects his long-held ambition to take Ghanaian MC craft global.

Sept 2026 will officially mark the 16th anniversary, but if his post is anything to go by, The Finest MC is only warming up.
