The Member of Parliament for Sekondi Constituency, Hon. Blay Nyameke Armah, has announced that major road construction works will begin on Monday July 13, 2026 along the Beach Road Poasi Road.
In a social media update, the MP said the information follows an engagement with JUSTMOH regarding upcoming infrastructure works in the community.
According to Hon. Armah, construction will commence on Monday, covering the stretch from the Hospital Roundabout through Enam na Ase to the RCC Roundabout.
The project will proceed in phases. Upon completion of the first phase, works will continue to Kweikuma and subsequently extend to the Sekondi inland roads.
“This project marks a significant step toward improving road infrastructure and enhancing connectivity across the area,” Hon. Armah stated. “We look forward to the successful execution of these works.”
The Beach Road Poasi corridor is a key route for residents and commuters in Sekondi-Takoradi. The upgrades are expected to ease traffic flow and improve access once completed.
Residents and motorists plying the affected routes should expect construction activity and possible traffic management measures starting Monday.
Further details on diversions and timelines are expected from the contractors as works progress.
