Ahanta West MP Invites Speaker Bagbin to 2026 Ahanta Heritage Month Celebration



The Member of Parliament for Ahanta West, Hon. Mavis Kuukua Bisue, has formally invited the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, to attend the upcoming Ahanta Heritage Month 2026 celebration. 

Hon. Bisue announced the invitation in a social media post on Sunday, stating that she presented it “on behalf of our revered chiefs and the good people of Ahanta.” 

The four-day cultural showcase is scheduled to run from Thursday, July 24 to Sunday, July 27, 2026, and is expected to draw “high-profile personalities, diplomats, members of the diaspora, and many other distinguished guests,” according to the MP.

Hon. Bisue extended an open invitation to a wide range of participants, urging business owners, investors, artisans, traders, writers, creatives, and entrepreneurs to take part in the event.

She encouraged them to “showcase their products and services, build valuable networks, and explore new opportunities” during the celebration.

“Let us come together to celebrate our rich heritage, strengthen our unity, and promote the development of Ahanta,”

Hon. Bisue wrote. “I look forward to welcoming you all to Ahanta Heritage Month 2026.”




The annual Ahanta Heritage Month highlights the culture, traditions, and history of the Ahanta people in the Western Region.

This year’s edition places strong emphasis on economic development alongside cultural celebration, with the MP positioning the event as a platform for both heritage promotion and business networking.

Hon. Bisue closed her statement with the rallying call: “Ahanta will rise again.”
