Lasmid Announces Maiden Headline Concert 'The Legacy Begins' Set for December 5 at The Palms Convention Centre

Award-winning Ghanaian star is set to headline his first-ever live concert.

In an official announcement released today, the singer revealed LASMID LIVE IN CONCERT — THE LEGACY BEGINS, scheduled for December 5, 2026, at The Palms Convention Centre.

The announcement was captioned simply: "The journey brought us here. The next chapter starts now. Be there for the beginning."

The concert marks a major milestone in a remarkable rise that started in Takoradi. Born Ladsmid Nathaniel Owusu on 24 May 1999, the artist known professionally as Lasmid (formerly Charger) is a Ghanaian musician from Takoradi in the Western Region.

He shot to fame after winning MTN Hitmaker Season 8 and became a household name with his 2022 single "Friday Night," which went viral on TikTok and subsequently topped several music charts in Ghana.

Since then, Lasmid has grown from a viral sensation into one of Ghana's most consistent hitmakers, blending Afrobeats, Highlife and soulful melodies to a loyal fanbase at home and abroad.

Organizers say The Legacy Begins is designed to be more than just a concert — it is a statement. The show is expected to trace his journey from the early days to chart-topping anthems, with a full live band, special guest performances, and first-time live renditions of unreleased material.

While ticketing and guest lineup details are yet to be announced, anticipation is already building across social media with the official hashtags #LasmidLive and #TheLegacyBegins.

One thing is clear: after years of hits, Friday nights, and stages across the country, Lasmid is ready to headline his own legacy.

December 5, 2026. The Palms Convention Centre. Be there for the beginning.
