Hon Nyameke Blay Armah Launches GH¢3 Million School Renovation Project in Sekondi

The Member of Parliament for Sekondi Constituency, Hon. Blay Nyameke Armah on Monday, June 15, officially commenced a transformative GH¢3 million School Renovation Project aimed at revitalising educational infrastructure across the constituency.

The initiative is designed to create safer, more conducive learning environments that foster academic excellence and well-being among pupils.

The ceremonial sod-cutting marked a significant milestone toward fulfilling a shared vision of enhanced educational facilities in Sekondi.

This ambitious project prioritises the refurbishment of key schools, ensuring that students benefit from modern, welcoming spaces that can nurture their growth and development.

The initial phase of the renovation will benefit eight established schools:

Old Hospital School

St. Peters Primary & Junior High School

Rev. Griffeon Primary & Junior High School

STMA Boundary Road School (Edankessim)

English and Arabic School

Presbyterian School

St. Andrew’s School

A.M.E Zion School

Each institution will receive tailored improvements, including structural repairs and upgrades to ensure the facilities meet safety and functional standards.

By investing in the physical infrastructures of these schools, the project aims to enhance student engagement, reduce dropout rates, and support educators in delivering quality instruction.

Hon. Blay Nyameke extended heartfelt appreciation to key stakeholders including the Regional and Metro Education Directors, school headteachers, teachers, constituency and branch executives, as well as students whose partnerships and support are vital to the project’s success.

This collaborative effort underscores a community-driven approach to educational advancement.

As Sekondi steps forward with this bold renovation initiative, the commitment to nurturing the potential of every child remains paramount.

This project not only reflects a dedication to infrastructure but also to the lasting impact education has on the future of the constituency.

The project began with the sod cutting for the renovation of the Old Hospital Basic School, which is expected to receive a major facelift to enhance teaching and learning conditions.

Together, the people of Sekondi are building the schools that will shape tomorrow’s leaders—one project, one school, one child at a time.
