Duapa Werkspace’s CEO and Founder, Mr. Erasmus Mensah Ackon, marked the 6th anniversary of Duapa Werkspace this week with a message celebrating impact, resilience, and community-driven growth.
In a statement shared to commemorate the milestone, Mr. Ackon reflected on the organization’s founding vision: “Six years ago, we set out with a simple but powerful belief: that young people, women, and entrepreneurs deserve the tools, training, and support to build sustainable livelihoods.
Today, we celebrate just how far that belief has carried us.”
Six Years of Measurable Impact
Since its launch, Duapa Werkspace has focused on equipping entrepreneurs and young people through targeted training programmes and business incubation.
Mr. Ackon noted that the anniversary represents more than longevity — it highlights “lives transformed” and “businesses built from the ground up.”
He credited the organization’s progress to collaboration across Ghana’s innovation ecosystem. “Every milestone along the way has been a shared one,” he wrote, extending gratitude to partners, sponsors, mentors, and facilitators who “invested in this vision,” as well as to the entrepreneurs and young people who “trusted us with their growth.”
A Celebration of Community
Framing the anniversary as “a celebration of community, resilience, and what becomes possible when people believe in one another,”
Mr. Ackon emphasized Duapa Werkspace’s role within a broader network of development actors.
Organizations recognized in the anniversary message include the Africa Climate Collaborative at UG, National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme-NEIP, Social Enterprise Ghana, Ghana Hubs Network, ISpace, HOPin Academy, Soronko Academy, Startup Takoradi, Mastercard Foundation, GIZ Ghana, and UNICEF Ghana.
Looking Ahead
Closing his message, Mr. Ackon signaled plans for continued expansion. “Thank you for six incredible years. Here's to building even bigger, bolder things together,” he wrote.
Duapa Werkspace operates under Diana Werkspace, focusing on entrepreneurship support, skills training, and ecosystem building for youth and women across Ghana.
