Media personality, corporate MC and lifestyle coach, Ida Blankson has been unveiled as the official MC for the 2026 TTU SRC Excellence Awards.
The Takoradi Technical University (TTU) is set to host the 8th edition of its prestigious SRC Excellence Awards, an annual ceremony instituted to honour hardworking student leaders and distinguished members of the university community.
This year's awards, slated for Friday, 22nd August, 2026, will be held at the Western Serene Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi. Red carpet is scheduled for 7:00 PM with the main event starting at 8:00 PM.
Organized by the Students' Representative Council (SRC), the Excellence Awards has become a hallmark on TTU's calendar, celebrating outgoing and incoming SRC leadership and executives, as well as staff members and administrators who have performed distinctively in service to the university.

According to organizers, this year's edition, themed “Winner SEA 26", promises to be the biggest yet, with an impressive lineup of national figures expected to grace the occasion.
Highly-rated Ghanaian songstress Gyakie is billed to perform at the event, while actor, farmer and Member of Parliament, Hon. John Dumelo, will be part of the Special Speakers for the night.
Adding to the excitement, popular media personality and hypeman, Hypeman Ferggy, is also confirmed to appear.
The event is expected to bring together distinguished personalities from academia, corporate Ghana, entertainment, and other sectors.
