The United Party (UP) has announced a major expansion of its communications machinery with the introduction of a new slate of political talk programs to be broadcast on the Afrafranto Media Network and across all official United Party GH social media platforms.
Headlining the new line-up is ‘Say It Loud', a socio-political current affairs show to be hosted by the party's Director of Communications, Solomon Owusu.
The program, operating under the tagline “Say it loud without fear or favour,” will air live every Monday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM on the Afrafranto Media Network on YouTube and on all United Party GH platforms.
According to the party, 'Say It Loud' is designed as a no-holds-barred platform that will dissect pressing national issues spanning politics, governance, business and the economy, entertainment, sports, and social development.
The appointment of Solomon Owusu as host is strategic. As Director of Communications and Spokesperson for the UP, Owusu has become one of the most vocal faces of the party since its formation.
The former NPP member is now serving as Communications Director of the UP alongside other national executives.
Known for his frank commentary on national affairs, Owusu is expected to bring his confrontational yet policy-driven style to the show.
The UP says 'Say It Loud' is not a standalone show but part of a deliberate media series aimed at deepening public understanding of its flagship policy blueprint — the Great Transformational Plan (GTP) and its long-term Vision 2040, the 'Paradise Project'.
The GTP, first unveiled during Alan Kyerematen's Movement for Change campaign, is the policy foundation of the United Party. Outlining the party's vision, founder Alan Kyerematen said the UP aims to make Ghana the economic powerhouse of Africa within fifteen years.
He explained that the vision is anchored on the Great Transformational Plan which focuses on industrialisation, private sector growth, youth employment, debt reduction and good governance.
Party officials say the new programs will feature leadership and key members of the party discussing and addressing issues confronting the nation and beyond in respect of the GTP.
The party has so far unveiled two headline shows for the Afrafranto Media Network:
1. Say It Loud
Host: Solomon Owusu (Director of Communications, United Party)
Airtime: Mondays, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Focus: Socio-political talk, fearless commentary on politics, economy, entertainment and sports.
1. Transformation Hour
Host: Yaw Buabeng Asamoah (General Secretary of the United Party) with Co-host Lawyer Appiah Dankwa
Airtime: Thursdays, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Focus: In-depth breakdown of the Great Transformational Plan, constitutional reforms, and governance.
The party is expected to announce additional programs in the coming days.
The launch of the Afrafranto Media Network comes at a time when the UP is positioning itself as Ghana's credible third force.
Formed on October 16, 2025, by three former prominent leaders of the New Patriotic Party including Alan Kyerematen, Boniface Abubakar Saddique and Yaw Buabeng Asamoah, the party has been aggressively building structures to break the NDC-NPP duopoly.
Analysts say controlling its own media narrative via YouTube and social media allows the UP to bypass traditional gatekeepers and directly engage a youthful, digitally-connected electorate frustrated with the two-party system.
All shows will be streamed live on YouTube via Afrafranto Media Network and simulcast on the United Party's official Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and X (formerly Twitter) handles: United Party GH.
